Success! The original nest fall babies are back with their siblings and their mother in Hamden!

We released them around noon Sunday, June 24, 2007. They called before exiting the carrier and then they ventured out into the brush... it wasn't too long before we heard distant response calls and soon enough three Red Shouldered Hawks soared in through the trees.

Mom did not stick around for us to photograph, but the juvenille hawks perched in the tree limbs waiting to reunite with their nest buddies. We decided to leave them alone to catch up and so Mom could soon return to the site. We were all pleased to have witnessed such a glorious reunion!

Another Wind Over Wings Happy Ending!
